To effectively respond to security incidents, entities must establish an incident response plan and consistent standards.

The workforce should report all observed or suspected information security incidents or weaknesses to appropriate management and the ISO/designated security representative as quickly as possible. If a member of the workforce feels that cyber security concerns are not being appropriately addressed, they can confidentially contact the Security Operations Center directly.

Proper incident response procedures and coordination and oversight must be ensured by notifying the Security Operations Center of any cyber incident that may have a significant or severe impact on operations or security, or which involves digital forensics.
